Dr. Chopra grew up in Ohio and did her undergraduate studies at Heidelberg College earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. She went to Wright State University Medical School and did her residency at UPMC St Margaret's. She has done extensive work in critical care and family medicine. Based on evaluations from medical students doing their family medicine rotations, Dr. Chopra was awarded the "Exceptional Teacher Award" from Penn State's College of Medicine and Department of Medicine.
She has organized on line resources for patient education at South Hills Family Medicine, as well as troubleshooting electronic medical record issues.
Dr. Chopra is very interested in treating women's health and preventative medicine. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her 10 month old daughter.
